Currently, Thailand is advancing the Eastern Economic Corridor Capital City Project (“EECiti”), a flagship development under the EEC framework aimed at transforming the eastern region into a global hub for business, innovation, and lifestyle. Positioned itself as a next-generation smart and livable city, EECiti integrates investment, work, and residential functions under a “LIVE–WORK–PLAY” concept.
EECiti Project has been driven by the Thai government through a Public–Private Partnership (“PPP”) model, with a focus on attracting international investors across multiple sectors including;
- Regional Headquarters, Government Complexes and Financial Service Hubs;
- World-Class Entertainment & Leisure Hub Center including large-scale theme parks, international sports complexes, and Formula One-standard circuit;
- Precision Medicine and Future Healthcare Center;
- Bio-Circular-Green Business Center;
- International Education and R&D Center for Future Business; and
- Mixed-Use Zone (Residential and Commercial).
Investors in the EECiti Project shall benefit from a comprehensive incentive framework, comprising of:
- Tax incentives: including Corporate Income Tax exemptions or reductions, import duty exemptions or reductions, and additional tax-related incentive measures.
- Non-tax incentives: including the right to own land or condominium units, the right for foreign nationals to enter and reside in Thailand.
- Customized Incentives: having opportunities to negotiate and structure tailored incentive packages for each project.
