At present, Thailand has continuously integrated digital technology into business operations and public administration. Accordingly, the Department of Business Development (DBD) has announced the discontinuation of the traditional paper-based company registration system and the full transition to the DBD e-Registration system via the online platform DBD Biz Regist. This initiative aims to enhance convenience, speed, and reduce the burden on entrepreneurs in preparing and submitting documents themselves.
This system is already in use, and starting from 1 July 2025, the DBD will completely cease accepting company registration applications in paper form. From that date forward, all company registrations must be conducted exclusively through the online system to ensure streamlined and modernized processes for both the public and government agencies. This change aligns concretely with the government’s Digital Government development strategy.
This transition will have significant impacts on all related sectors, including both the public and government agencies, especially regarding the full adoption of digital technology. It is expected to increase service efficiency, reduce procedural steps, and enhance transparency in the company registration process.
