Thailand is seeing strong investment momentum in industries linked to artificial intelligence (AI), data centres, and food processing, with energy and real estate firms positioning themselves for long-term growth.
Super Energy Corporation is in talks with data centre operators to supply renewable electricity and water, both crucial for cooling systems in facilities that run 24/7 on AI and cloud technology. Traditionally focused on solar farms, the company has expanded into the water business to meet growing industrial demand.
Electricity Generating Plc (Egco) is also targeting this market through the development of the Egco Rayong Industrial Estate, a 621-rai project in Map Ta Phut. Designed as a green, smart industrial zone, it will support technology investors under the Eastern Economic Corridor programme and is expected to be completed in a few years.
Meanwhile, Singha Estate is focusing on the food sector by selling 75 rai of land in its S Angthong Industrial Estate to Dali Foods (Thailand), a subsidiary of China’s Dali Foods Group. The new plant aims to make Ang Thong a hub for food and agricultural processing, supported by abundant local raw materials and proximity to Bangkok.
Despite global economic challenges, Thailand’s food exports remain robust, with the country ranked as the world’s 12th largest food exporter and export values projected to grow further in 2025.
