The Revenue Department has developed Tax Dimension, a practical toolkit and knowledge framework designed to support systematic tax planning and the accurate calculation of net profit for personal income tax and corporate income tax purposes.
What is Tax Dimension?
Tax Dimension is a structured set of tax data that can be integrated into accounting software, enabling automated adjustments so that accounting profits align with tax regulations under the Revenue Code.
Through Open API systems, it facilitates tax filing workflows and reduces errors in filing corporate income tax Form P.N.D. 50. Key components include guidance on income, costs and expenses, additional deductible expenses, double deductions of up to 10% of net profit, relevant tax code sections, tax mapping tables, and worksheets for reconciling accounting and taxable profits.
Benefits and Applications
Tax Dimension provides multiple practical benefits. It ensures accurate net profit calculations by clarifying disallowed and enhanced deductions, helps taxpayers fully utilize incentives such as employee training, hiring targeted groups, or machinery investments, and mitigates audit risks—especially for small and medium-sized enterprises without in-house tax expertise.
It also supports strategic tax planning, including optimizing the timing of asset acquisitions and maximizing deductions. By maintaining clear documentation and consulting tax professionals, when necessary, businesses can improve compliance, reduce risks, and legally optimize their tax liabilities.
On going forward, the Tax Dimension data from the Revenue Department is thus an essential tool for enhancing entrepreneurs’ tax knowledge, facilitating accurate profit calculations, and ensuring full utilization of tax deductions and exemptions.
