An update on the EU – Thailand Free Trade Agreement in 2025

Following the first negotiation in 2013 which was suspended in 2014 following Thailand’s political instability, the European Union (EU) and the Kingdom of Thailand have revived negotiations for a comprehensive DTA. The main goal is to conclude an agreement by 2025, potentially heralding a new era in EU-Thailand economic relations.

The next negotiation round is scheduled to take place from 23 June – 27 June 2025 in Thailand.
