The Notification of Board of Investment (BOI) No. 9/2565 announced on 30 January 2568 regarding the revision of low-income housing projects improved the conditions to be consistent and suitable with the current government’s policy to support housing business for low-income individuals. The Notification of BOI No. Sor. 1/2567 dated 15 March 2024 shall be repealed by the provisions of this Notification as follows:
Section 7: Public Utilities
7.3 Low-income housing projects
Conditions include:
1. Housing project applying for promotion shall comply with the following area requirements:
1.1 For condominiums, the usable area must be at least 24 Sq. Meters per unit.
1.2 For townhouses or detached houses, the usable area must be at least 70 Sq. Meters per unit.
2. Housing units eligible for promotional privileges must be sold to Thai natural persons whose net monthly income does not exceed 50,000 THB.
3. Each unit shall be sold to only one purchaser.
4. The total selling price, including the cost of land, must not exceed 1,500,000 THB per unit.
5. Project must have residences that comply with the specified conditions for at least 80% of the project’s total residential units.
6. Project must have facilities including parking space, closed-circuit television (CCTV) throughout the project, 24-hour security personnel, cleaning staff, common areas, and other facilities in an appropriate proportion.
7. Building layouts and plans must be approved by the Board
8. Project must obtain a building construction permit according to the building control laws or other related regulations.
